It's been two months and I still haven't completely moved into my room.
I miss all the warmness and natural light of my old one quite a bit.

there is a pleasure in the pathless woods;
there is a rapture on the lonely shore;
there is a society, where none intrudes;
by the sea, and music in it's roar;
I love not man less, but nature more...

dear jesse,
as the moon lingers a moment over the bitterroots, before its decent into the invisible, my mind is filled with song. I find I am humming softly; not to the music, but to something else; someplace else; a place remembered; a field of grass where no one seemed to have been; except a deer; and the memory is strengthened by the feeling of you, dancing in my awkward arms.

09.10.12

"we ate well and cheaply
and drank well and cheaply
and slept well and warm together
and loved each other."

tonight was the best kind of night- i wish i could have bottled it.

so far...

three weeks now- that's how long i've been home.
back to texas, everlasting days, and familiar streets.

i am in my third home in three years,
my hair is brown again,
and i've turned twenty years old.

i've been living on my front porch.
eating syrupy sweet peaches, watermelon, & raspberry jam.
reading three different books,
and listening to cat stevens- maybe too much.

i've spent mornings sleeping in,
many afternoons cooking curry,
and sultry nights swimming in the river.

i've spent time thinking of all the places i've been
and all the things i've learned
in the year that is near past.

september,
where has time gone?
